The name of a suspect shot and killed by a homeowner in an alleged home invasion in Wayne County has been released. Sheriff Dean Finch says 54-year-old Douglas West of Williamsville died from a gunshot wound to the chest. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the home invasion happened on Tuesday afternoon, north of Highway 172. The homeowner’s sister, Gail Webb, says her brother, David Lossos, lived there. The patrol says West was shot while trying to burglarize the home. He was taken to a Poplar Bluff hospital where he died. Finch says his department will finish its investigation and turn the evidence over to the prosecutor’s office, who will decide if any charges will be filed.
