Resident engineer with the Missouri Department of Transportation brian Holt says wet weather hasn’t knocked crews off schedule during the construction of the roundabout in uptown Jackson. He told the Jackson Board of Aldermen on Monday traffic flow has proved less troublesome than anticipated. Concrete grading should be done along Barton and East Main streets by the end of the week, and lighting elements were scheduled to arrive this morning. Barton Street still is scheduled to be open by July 15 as planned. The roundabout project is expected to be finished by the end of October.
