The Transportation Security Administration says a security breach forced them to evacuate part of Lambert International Airport on Saturday. The breach happened around 4:30 p.m. Officials believe the breach was caused by equipment failure, forcing them to evacuate Concourse C. The entire process took about an hour and a half. About a dozen flights were delayed, both departures and arrivals. The St. Louis Police Department responded to the scene per protocol and brought a K9 unit to check the perimeter. Any passengers that went through the security checkpoint were required to go through again. It’s unclear what caused the malfunction in the equipment.The investigation is ongoing.
