The Perry County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged a Chaffee man with second-degree burglary, resisting arrest and misdemeanor theft Thursday after he led Perry County and Cape Girardeau County sheriff’s deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers on a chase into Cape Girardeau County on Tuesday. 47-year old William B. Mosley was arrested on Tuesday with a bond of $15,000 cash only. Perry County Sheriff Gary Schaaf says they received a call saying Mosley was burglarizing a house on County Road 438. The callers tried to keep Mosley at the house, but he fled in a vehicle. They gave a description of the vehicle with a license number. Mosley was seen driving on Route A and a pursuit led into Cape Girardeau County, where deputies and highway-patrol troopers joined the chase. Mosley lost control of his vehicle, slid off the roadway and stopped. He was charged after a similar incident in Stoddard County, Missouri last week.
