A St. Louis man fired a shot through the floorboard of a car after he demanded more money from two victims. Cape Girardeau police arrested 22-year old Stan L. Ford, on Nov. 22. The Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Ford with first-degree robbery, second-degree domestic assault, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action. Ford started arguing with the female victim Nov. 22 in an apartment in the 600 block of Boxwood Drive over $300 he had loaned her for her car. A probable-cause statement says an argument with a baseball bat began, with Ford ultimately threatening her with his gun and punching her in the head. Ford shoved her head into the bathtub, pointed his gun at her said he would kill her. The victim escaped in a car which a male friend was driving. Ford got into the car and fired a shot into the back floorboard. Ford and two other men went inside the victim’s apartment and took $100. Ford demanded the male friend drive him to an ATM and give him $300. Ford admitted shooting the gun but not to stealing.
