State agencies, universities, organizations work together on literacy in massive project
MU was recently awarded more than $5 million as part of a statewide, 5-year, $18 million project to improve literacy efforts in Missouri classrooms. MU College of Education Professor Amy Lannin directs the Campus Writing Program. She will use her part of the grant to work with teachers.
Another part of the MU grant is helping early childhood educators extend family literacy practices into the classroom.
