Bloomfield man killed in traffic incident

A Bloomfield man died Saturday after being hit while crossing Highway 25 north of Bloomfield. 78-year-old Billy Bell attempted to cross the roadway when a pickup driven by 65-year-old Ernest Collier, of Jackson, hit him. Bell was transported to Southeast Health in Dexter where he was pronounced dead. The report did not indicate officers issued any citations.
